Evaluating the model of the relationship between self-compassion, marital empathy, and depression with mediating marital forgiveness in Female

Abstract

The purpose of the current research was evaluating the model the relationship between self-compassion, marital empathy, and depression with mediating marital forgiveness. Two hundred married female among all of married female Hamedeyhe Ahvaz city were selected using random sampling method, and according to inclusion and exclusion criterions from three area of mayor of this city, and completed Self-compassion SCS, the Marital Empathy, and the Marital Offence-Specific Forgiveness Scales (MOFS), and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-13). The data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and concurrent hierarchical regression analyses by Baron and Kenny method (1986) and SPSS-21 software. Pearson correlation coefficients showed that there were significant positive correlations between self-compassion with marital empathy, self-compassion with marital forgiveness, and marital empathy with marital forgiveness variables and there were significant negative correlations between self-compassion with depression, marital empathy with depression, and marital forgiveness with depression variables (p
